1)Approach the curb or whatever object you are going to grind with your back facing it.
2)Get your feet in the ollie position (sometimes having your front foot further up the board helps you to lock on with your nose more easily), when you are near to the object pop a 90 degrees ollie - slide your front foot all the way up to the nose, and apply pressure with your front foot so that when you come down the nose connects with the object and you begin to slide.
3)Force your board along the object with your feet and keep your shoulders in line with the board. Some people feel that leaning back slightly helps you to slide this trick more easily.
4)To get off this slide, simply turn your body and board away from the object so that your nose is no longer connecting with the object you are grinding.
