I want to get a Lib for my next board, but seeing one yesterday kind of made me not want it any more.
Yesterday at the skatepark I saw a kid with a Lib Tech with half of the nose chipped off on the right side. So he was prettmuch skating with the left side of the nose. Is this normal with Libs? Or did he just beat on it really bad for that to happen? I've only heard good things about them, they are durable, slide good, and are light from what I've heard, but I've never tried one.

I'm not judging it by the chip. Also, I am starting to take up street skating, and I now have a few large (for my town, you probably will think they're girl thingy gaps) gaps that have really taken a beating on my Powell Minilogo deck, to the point where I feel it is going to snap sometime soon. If I get a Libtech for my next board, I want to make sure it is okay to handle these kinds of gaps, and won't snap on me when I land one. BTW I try to land above the trucks when landing, but sometimes its kind of hard.
Also, there aren't many street spots where I live, so these are all at the skatepark.
1)Gap from the bank into the flat of the mini- approximately 5 feet across, 3 feet down 2)Ollie down the transition of the pyramid, same measurements as the first one 3)"Bench Gap"-Ollie off the kicker, over a bench-3 feet across, 2 feet down
I also like doing a trick that we call "Pop Rock". It is where you do a large Fakie Ollie (I usually do it at least a foot high) then land in a Fakie Rock on a minipipe. Between these four tricks, it's taken a lot of the life out of my Minilogo, which I have only had for a month. I want to make sure that the Lib Tech will last longer than this, since they cost $70 at the skateshop I go to.

lib techs are awesome. Its fiberlight stuff so wheel bites arent noticeable. I would say there pretty durable.
