I think they make a great match. Usher is a playboy and Alicia is the kind of woman who makes those kind of guys wanna stop being so bad. Usher and Chilli haven't been together for awhile and she is far older than he is anyhow...he's what, 25 and Chilli's in her thirties. Alicia is only 24. If anything, the two of them will gain good experience from being together. You can tell he's way more attached than she is; in an interview before he even actually met her he said he had a huge crush on her.
