Official (how to do kickflips) thread First you need to place your back foot on the tail in the ollie position and your front foot in the mid area off to the side of the board so you will be able to flick your board. Now make sure that you are comfortable in the position that you are in currently so you will have no problem with balancing on the board. Now what you want to do is pop a clean ollie and slide your front foot up and flick it off the corner of the nose making the board flip. Be sure that you flick your front foot hard off the nose to flip it all the way around 360 degrees. Now once you have started the flip you need to jump high over the board to give it room to flip and still land on it. As you jump be sure to have your knees raised high up to your chest so that the board will stay under you, at least that’s how I keep the board under me when I do them... So, once the board has done the flip you need to catch it with your back foot so it will not over rotate, unless you want to try a double but most of the time people don’t need to do that because at first they don’t catch dem’ kickflips high so.... well you know. Okay so now you have to land on the board and this can be one of the most difficult yet delicate parts in a kickflip. So you raise above the board and land, but you have to make sure that, 1. You don’t get chicken and bail out, 2. You don’t put your (foot, feet) in the way of the board on the landing. So for the foot thing you need to raise your feet over the board like? With your knees up but just coming down you come down straight on the board not off to the side or anything. So now you know how to do kickflips and land well but sometimes you land with your back foot on or you front foot on so here is how to get both feet on.When you jump, jump straight up (of course) making sure you come down with both feet over the bolts, try just ollieing and landing with both feet on the bolts and then do kickflips that way, it’ll help a lot. The basic trick tip for a kickflip is ollie, flick, raise, stop and land or pop, front foot, jump, land it’s all on your front foot and the flick of the board that’s the foundation.

;DI have the exact same problem and im only 11 yrs old but i thing you have to suck up you legs a bit more and push your right foot up a bit more so you have more time to think about how to land or where the board is.

an important thing is to remember to lift your back foot up. and dont have your back foot on the tip of the edge unless you want to varial it.
