abec is a company that rates bearings from like 3-7(3 is slowest and 7 is fastest) anyways bones r really good!! my friend has bones and they rule!!!

bones swiss ceramics are the best and fastest bearings
bones super swiss six kick ass also cause of the more distance, less rotations
bones swiss precision are great, fast, durable bearings
bones reds are plain good all around bearings

All those birdhouse bearings suck though. Never get them. Flip pretty much gave you an outline of what to buy.

my first board was a wal mart board and it came with ABEC 1 bearings. they sucked so bad that when i got my blind i fell because they it was so fast

I got abec sevens.. some generic ones, they are just as good as reds

i am just starting to skate.. my first board was a star wars board from wal-mart lol it had no concave and like abec .00001 bearings and it sucked, so i broke it and bought a new one... a complete with a medium concave blank deck, nice griptape, CORE trucks which sound like some cheap off brand but they are nice they have good kingpin clearance and stay tight real well... also it has FKD Abec 5 bearings and i like them alot.. they are better than my friend's black panter abec 3s or 5s i dont remember.. the whole board was only $60 assembled anyway and its from tgmskateboards.com
